Hi Wilco,
Firstly sorry this is in english (my written dutch is terrible)!! I agree, I thought this post would have sparked a lot of interest, as in my opinion a new line of Veritas chisels is big news in the woodworking world !!
I served my apprenticeship with British Aerospace as an engineering machinist (many years ago now) and have also worked as a toolmaker, so high quality tools have always interested me. The LN range of tools are a fantastic blend of quality and tradition whereas the Veritas range combine that quality and tradition with a modern design approach. I recently had a look at some block planes in Baptist and had a play about with new DX60 (they didn't have the NX60 unfortunately), the quality was stunning as is the design, in my opinion (although maybe that's my aircraft background). I would say the quality is every bit as good as LN. So when I seen the new chisels I had to have a look and now can't wait to try them out. I agree with Jaap, it's about time Nederland had a high quality tool manufacturer. Nooigedagt is OK (I have a couple of chisels) but I would say like Stanley, they rely on their reputation of years gone by !!
